About LEOS Youth Group
LEOS Youth Group was founded in February 2011 with a simple ambition: to give young people the opportunity to perform, grow in confidence, make friends and create lots of wonderful memories along the way.We began with a series of drama and singing workshops before taking to the stage for our very first production, Disney’s High School Musical Jr., in July 2011.

Since then, LEOS Youth Group has gone from strength to strength. Over the years, we have performed an exciting and diverse range of musicals at the Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton, bringing together talented young performers who share a passion for singing, dancing and acting and, most importantly, having lots of fun!

Award-Winning Performances
We are incredibly proud of the recognition our productions and members have received over the years. Our hard work, talent and dedication have been recognised by both NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) and the Derby Eagle Awards.

NODA Awards
LEOS has won multiple NODA Awards for Best Youth Show for:
   • Disney’s High School Musical Jr.
   • Into the Woods Jr.
   • Madagascar Jr.
   • The Pirates of Penzance Jr.
   • Les Misérables School Edition

Our productions of Madagascar Jr. and The Pirates of Penzance Jr. went on to achieve an even greater honour, winning the prestigious NODA Award for Best Youth Show across the entire East Midlands.

Individual NODA Award Winners
Our young performers have also received individual recognition for their outstanding performances.
   • Findlay Parker for his role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables School Edition
   • Bella Syson for her role as Éponine in Les Misérables School Edition

Derby Eagle Awards
We are incredibly proud of our success at the Derby Eagle Awards.
   • Best Youth Production — Crazy for You Youth Edition
   • Best Contribution by a Young Person — Findlay Parker, for his role as Bobby Child in Crazy for You
